Our speaker will cover the initiation of the attorney client relationship, fee agreements, and termination of the attorney-client relationship. The applicability of California Rules of Professional Conduct and other rules that apply to these situations will be discussed. The issues will be considered from both a law firm and an in-house counsel perspective. Ethics MCLE credit is available.
Speaker: Paul W. Vapnek, Of Counsel, Townsend & Townsend & Crew, LLP Paul Vapnek handles litigation of matters pertaining to patent, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, trade secret and related antitrust law. He also aids clients with the technology licensing and prosecution of intellectual property, primarily trademarks and copyrights. Paul was an Assistant Professor of Law at Hastings College of the Law, University of California, for 12 years and is a registered Professional Engineer in New York State. He is a frequent speaker and author in the fields of intellectual property law and legal ethics.
