Ramsey Al-Salam, Partner, Perkins Coie LLP, Seattle, Washington, will address a number of recent developments that may have been missed during SVIPLA’s recent program on Bilski: cases addressing enablement, opinions (following on Seagate), and indirect infringement, which have all come down recently and have shifted the IP landscape.  Similarly, eBay v. MercExchange left the question of when do courts grant injunctions, and courts have since provided various answers.  Likewise, Quanta represents a landmark practitioners in the licensing space cannot miss. 

Mr. Al-Salam's practice at Perkins Coie focuses on intellectual property litigation and dispute resolution, with particular emphasis on patent and trademark litigation.  He has been lead counsel for clients in various industries in patent and trademark cases across the country.  He frequently writes for and speaks at legal seminars and is an adjunct professor of Patent and Trade Secret Law at Seattle University.  He has been recognized both locally and nationally as one of the leading practitioners in his field.
